The one with Gulf War, Hostel & Betty

Everyone has been raving about the movie Airlift. And for good reason. Despite my best intentions I haven't been able to get myself into a cinema hall to watch the movie, even though this whole week has been about travelling cinema, workwise. Anyway, of late the standard of cinema is so bad that you could make a movie about Pani Puri and that would have a better story line. Of course you put SRK - Kajol in it and that would be a 400 crore grossing flop.

What exactly is a flop? 

Sheela and some other Jawani's

Yes I got sucked into the hala-gula about Sheela and her jawani. Undoubtedly, many more will venture into more expensive territory (PVR, FAME..) to find out and watch more of her Jawani Unfold. What was an item song, has now become the "item song of the year" or at least claims to be, and while Katrina's jawani will fade away in some time, in the recent past we've had these crazy crazy item numbers thats driven many a young jawani to the brinks of loosing their....ummm..errr....never mind.

What drives these songs to turn normal college kids, young adults, old people, etc etc to go crazy when the tunes of these hip gyrating, water drenched, bull riding, tattoo-getting, choli displaying etc etc videos?

In search of answers to these awfully simple looking questions, we have put together a composition of what we think has been the best of the last few years. And we have tried to keep the jawani gender neutral. Period.

Next step is to understand what do I do to get music out of it!!!

It cost me 4 k and its a gb&a..Got it from Premsons (one of the oldest stores in Bangalore) near Ulsoor lake. Too bad for me though am not much of a guitar-knowledge person, so Angad from Premsons helped me out lots in knowing more about these stringed beauties.

Definitely recommended for all music-instruments-wannabe-buyers!!!

Wonder if I should name the guitar...Strangely the name gypsy is playing on my mind....:)

Managing Music

I dont call myself a music lover. But strangely I have over 18 GB of music. And a pretty decent collection of trance, hip hop, old classics, rock and so on...Except heavy metal (Cant make out whats the tune and whats the lyrics in it anyway..)

While I listen to different kinds of music, I never had a headache regarding managing the same. I had my play lists and updated new songs all neatly arranged, until my notebook crashed. After recovering the disks, picking out songs became a terror.

Most of my collections were numbered. And it was a pain trying to make out one song from another as most of the songs were named "Track 1" or "01". But now I have embarked on mission "remove-the-numbers-and -replace-with-names".Or something like that.

Don know how many days its gonna take. But guess it will be worth it. At least till the lappy crashes again!!!

This one is a nice number. The background score is addictive. I picked up the song after it went off vH1 top ten.

Madagascar-Escape 2 Africa- Review

The movie is out finally!!!

Lets start. 

After a hillarious time in Madagascar, Alex and company with King Julien and the Penguin Squad head off back home, with an aeroplane. Under the captaincy of "Skipper" they manage to crash land in the Afrikaans and suddenly feel at home. Here on the movie goes to a milder version of the "Lion King" and a all's well that ends well kinda story line.

The movie has some hillarious parts thanks to King Julien the "King"!!! and of Course my favorite Penguin Squad. Theres also nanna(nanny) the human who takes on the animals and leads the lost New york tourists(Courtesy the Penguin squad) to safety in the big byaaad Juungles.

There is a love interest arising between Melman and Gloria, but Melman is to shy and Gloria gets a possible suitor in Modo Modo. Melman releases he's gonna die and expresses his feelings and how things change (you gota watch the movie for that)

Theres also an identity crisis for Alex "the Dancing lion" and Alex "the REal Lion"

The movie does keep up with the original, but lacks a story line. Animation hasnt been the strong point so lets leave that apart. Madagascar 3 has already been announced so maybe the producers will keep that in mind.
